Our noses have complex anatomy. The nose contains olfactory sensory neurons inside it which allow us to sense smells.
Molecules of the scent are then transported to these neurons
However, our brain can pick our 1 part per million of these scents in the air and then processes these smells and encode them as memories.
The nose is also one of the important responsive organs when it comes to distinguishing between bad or good smell.
It may not be as sensitive as animals, but still, it can memorize around 50000 types of aromas.

How do we feel smell?
Some of the air elapsing the nose goes over the olfactory epithelium, whose thin coating of mucus blocks some of the particles.
These particles then come in touch with olfactory hairs out-spreading from olfactory receptor neurons in the epithelium.
Odorant molecules awaken the olfactory receptor neurons to create an action activity,
which trips sideways their axons through gaps in the ethmoid bone to the olfactory storage organ.
Neurons in the olfactory bulb obtain the fighting ability
However, transmit the nerve indications into the olfactory area of the brain where the information is translated and managed to give the feel of smell.

With the evolution taking place, we often doubt whether we will be able to sense the new products available in the market now and then.
